diffuse alveolar hemorrhage in patients undergoing neurointervention: a case report

چکیده
conclusions small dose of clopidogrel (75 mg) may lead to rare, life-threatening dah, so physicians should be aware of the possibility of dah after neurointervention in patients who have respiratory distress, worsening alveolar infiltrates accompanied by hemoptysis. introduction diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (dah) is a very rare complication but acute and life-threatening event. clopidogrel has generally administered for neurointerventional surgery, but there were no reports of dah related to clopidogrel in patients undergoing neurointervention. case presentation a 70-year-old male presented with dah associated with clopidogrel after transfemoral cerebral angiography and coil embolization for cerebral aneurysm. the chest radiography showed bilateral symmetric peribronchial consolidation and bronchoscopy revealed diffuse hemorrhage on the bronchial wall at the bilateral lung. clopidogrel was withdrawn and mechanical ventilation was applied for postoperative three days.

متن کاملA case of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage after tonsillectomy -A case report-
Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is an acute, life-threatening event. The blood-gas barrier must be very thin to allow gas exchange and is therefore subjected to high mechanical stresses when the capillary pressure rises. In general anesthesia, inhaled gases cause high mechanical stresses, and thus DAH occurs under certain conditions. We describe a case of inferred postoperative DAH. A 25-year...
متن کاملDiffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage
Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a life-threatening and medical emergency that can be caused by numerous disorders and presents with hemoptysis, anemia, and diffuse alveolar infiltrates. Early bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage is usually required to confirm the diagnosis and rule out infection. Most cases of DAH are caused by capillaritis associated with systemic autoimmune diseases ...
متن کاملDiffuse alveolar hemorrhage.
Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage represents a medical emergency, and clinicians must have an expedient approach to its identification. There are many causes of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, including vasculitides, immunologic conditions such as Goodpasture's syndrome, collagen vascular disease, and idiopathic conditions. Careful attention to the medical history, physical examination, and targeted lab...
متن کامل[Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage].
Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage is a clinical syndrome that can be life threatening if not diagnosed and treated in time. In most cases it occurs largely as a result of small-vessel vasculitis of the lungs. The many different forms can be classified into 3 large groups: a) pauciimmune disease, which generally involves pulmonary capillaritis and is associated with the presence of antineutrophil cyto...
متن کاملA Case of Post-Streptococcal Glomerulonephritis with Diffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage
Acute post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis (PSGN) is characterized by an abrupt onset of edema, hypertension, and hematuria. Life-threatening diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is rarely associated with acute PSGN. There have been only two reported cases worldwide, and no case has been reported previously in Korea. Here, we present a patient who clinically presented with pulmonary-renal syndrom...
